Creative Social partnered with Sonos Studio and challenged 6 agencies to hack the Sonos platform and create an experiential product bases on the Sonos in a 10 day span. We decided to turn the Sonos speakers into a mobile party platform powered by Sonos. We began by completely tearing down the speakers and converting them to battery power. We modeled and 3d printed custom bike mounts for the Sonos speakers. We built a custom iPhone app that controls the speaker system and allows you to stream and control music from Spotify, Rdio as well as access the local file system. As the icing on the cake we created a mobile audio visualizer complete with graphic eq, EL wire that responds to bas and treble, and mobile disco ball.
